WHY SHOULD YOU JOIN CHES? meeting

By joining CHES, you will become part of an active community which champions environmental disciplines both academically and professionally.

Environmental disciplines are vitally important, increasingly seen as crucial to the future of industry, society and, indeed, the planet. A qualification in an environmental discipline opens the door to an ever wider range of rewarding careers in all sectors of the economy. Our graduates go on to exciting jobs all over the world, in industry and commerce, in government and consultancy, in research and education.

CHES is determined to maintain the flow of highly qualified and motivated people who can meet the challenges of the future.


MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION

Membership is for a department or school, usually with one named representative. All members of the department or school are encouraged to attend CHES events. Representatives can be those involved in teaching, learning or research within Environmental Sciences in Higher Education, such as programme leaders, course directors or heads of departments. Membership usually implies an active interest in the support, development and growth of the subject in a collaborative atmosphere.

Joining CHES

Please send the completed form to The Secretary (address on form). On receipt and approval of your application, your School or Department will be invoiced for the annual membership monies. There is a single tier of membership. Membership subscriptions are reviewed annually. Currently the annual subscription is £150. Non members who attend a CHES meeting, and subsequently wish to join do so at a reduced rate for the first year.
